Cam Rostami

Los Angeles, California

Softly soothing melodies straight from the heart. Cam Rostami is an emerging artist from the US who’s currently bringing his bittersweet anthems to the global music scene. His style is distinctly heartfelt, fusing emotion-dripped bars to rich, electronic soundscapes. Here’s one artist that’s impossible to put in a box. His genre is difficult to describe as it combines so many different styles together. Though he has been compared to artists like Joji, Grimes and Local Natives. His alt-pop soundtracks have a distinctly indie feel to them as he flows raw melodies over complex beats that push the boundaries of what’s possible in music. The young artist has already released a successful string of singles that have cemented him as a serious force to be reckoned with in the wider music industry. He makes his music for what he describes as people who are “purposefully delusional”. They think themselves into temporary insanity in the pursuit of creating something larger than themselves. It gives him purpose in his life to transport people into different worlds through art. The emerging artist was thrust into the world of movies and filmmaking from a young age as a child actor. His passion for films really drove him into music. He learned how to play piano and guitar from a young age and would often score his own films. In high school, rather than going down the partying route, he decided to form bands and harness his skills as a musician. Eventually he moved out to Los Angeles following a film he was working on. He immersed himself in the industry and learned everything he could about it. Soon he’d left behind his old bandmates and embarked on a solo career. Whilst out in LA he started making connections with bigger artists that he could never have met in his hometown in North Texas. He’s since written a few albums with him even reaching 60K streams on Spotify alone. With such a rich body of work already under his belt, it’s clear to see this is an artist on for great things.
